| free time in new orleans. things are going really good.
we've been all over the place doing a variety of things. food
distribution, giving kids christmas presents, gutting houses, and doing
work here at the YWAM base to keep it up to par.
Some areas are getting better, but it's hard not to find trash
catapulted all over sidewalks and yards. The area where we gutted
the house, the 9th ward or something, was terrible. they received
10-12 feet of water and the places were just destroyed. Some
people have moved back in, others have lost hope and wont return, and
others are scared to come back not sure what they'll find.
Most of the YWAM daily activity is finished by evening. Following
dinner, everyday so far, me and matt have ventured to downtown new
orleans and the french quarter. We've met lots of interesting
people including one man who told us the Jesus is coming back on
december 13th, 2006 at exactly 7:00am...so be ready everyone, don't
wanna miss that!! We've met some other really great people and
simply offering them prayer for their situation has routinely brought
tears to their eyes and brought the words "i just feel so much better
now" to their lips. In addition, to successful prayer reports,
multiple rededications and salvations to which we give Jesus all the
glory.
Thank you all for your prayers, we'll be down here until January 6th so happy new years and belated christmas.

| the work load is kicking in. just pushing threw it casue i can see light at the end of the semester 2 weeks ahead.
me and earley are trying to go to new orleans over chirstmas break,
17th-7th, so pray for that for us, or if you'd like to donate to our
trip that's be nice to...but most definatly pray for us. we'll
not only be helping rebuild, but hitting streets probably everyday
bringing the gospel. they could use some good news.
on a lesser note, i bought a desert eagle .44 magnum replica
pellet gun off ebay. sucker shoots at 230 fps. it hasn't
come in yet and i'm getting a little anxious. me, kip, tj, and
mark wanna play cowboys and have showdowns with each other...walk five
paces, turn draw and shoot...crazy! kip and tj have the p99 james
bond replicas. just watiting for the big guy to come in and we're
headed west.

| going home tonight for thanksgiving break. tomorrow morning i'm gonna drive to wvu to watch the guys ncaa soccer tounry. sunday i'll be trying to fly to grand junction, colorado to see mr. alvarez for a few days. thursday's that day. friday i'm up for some mario party and a trip to the comic book store. later that night there's the best show on earth being played at new life fellowship church at 8:00 preformed by acommoncrisis. saturday and sunday i'll be doing those lovely over the break projects the foreign teachers feel obligated to hand out. and to all those guys at the bottom line on thursday...i'll be reading too, so i hope that you all do.
